FEMME SHOUT: Celebrate. Organize. Act.
Monday, October 29th at 7pm
Rivendell Theatre (5779 N Ridge Ave, Chicago, IL 60660)
It’s time for us to be Loud. To be Fierce. And to be Together.
Join us on Monday 29th at Rivendell Theater at 7pm for a pop-up celebration of female/femme identified power and to focus it on the midterm elections.
Who inspires you? What femme/non-binary/female voices from history speak to this moment? Together, we will celebrate these Voices Who Should Be Heard and Remembered with a collection of powerful readings selected by Chicago actors. What can we do to put women and femmes in positions of power? Here’s what: After the performance, we will have food and drink and ready ourselves for the final week leading up to the November 6th election. We’ll tell you all you need to know about female identified candidates from the hyper-local to the national level, and we’ll have A LOT of info about what you can do to help these folks win, even if you don’t have much time or money!
The $10 suggested donation will go to She Should Run, a non-partisan organization in support of the new generation of female political leaders.
The evening is hosted with passion and glamour by Lisa Portes, Jessica Thebus, and Rivendell Theatre. Join us, spread the word! Loud, Fierce, Together.
This is not a ticketed event – all are welcome to join.
